Manager, Consultant, Estimator & Detailer
Over 25 years’ experience in HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, engineering, and construction industry. This includes close to 5 years working in the field and sheet metal fabrication shop. I hold a journeyman sheet metal worker card, Arizona Contractors State license, certifications in; EPA Refrigeration, Faro laser scanning, HVAC, Piping, and Plumbing CADmep software, CAMduct software, and ESTmep software.
Over 5 years and counting as the manager of MLP Consulting. 12 years at University Mechanical and Engineering as the Senior HVAC Systems Mechanical & Plumbing Designer and Detailer. 2 years as the HVAC Design Team Lead, CAD Manager, Designer, and IT Support at Bel-Aire Mechanical and Superior Air Handling, and 8 years as the HVAC Detailer, sheet metal fabricator, and sheet metal installer at J.B. Rodgers / Kinetics.
There is an ocean between architectural/engineering contract drawings and field installation. At MLP, we have become the bridge to help contractors pre-plan construction projects by interpreting the contract drawings, laser scanning existing buildings for accurate as-builts, and making constructible shop and fabrication drawings. With this pre-planning, we can improve the contractors bottom line profit by cutting down on material waste and field labor.
The feeling of family with coworkers, clients, and vendors. We are all in this together, working to build some cool projects.
Doing what is morally right, honesty, integrity, quality, and efficiency.
I am a father, and a musician. I love my daughters and enjoy spending time with them. I love music and have played in rock, Christian, and reggae bands. Recently, I’ve been working in my home recording studio (bedroom) as a solo artist and often invite friends to collaborate talents. I also ride a Harley Street Bob.
My favorite movies are Into the Wild, Singles, and Blazing Saddles. My favorite books are The Walk series by Richard Paul Evens and Sermon on the Mount by Emmett Fox.
I have three from Albert Einstein: “Try not to become a man of success, but rather try to become a man of value.”, “If you can’t explain it simply, you don’t understand it well enough.”, and “Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.”
